Sky learning the "ropes"
We are very excited to introduce you to our little moon beam, "Sky." Sky
was co-bred with our good friend, Matt Twitty of Jestwit Shelties. She is
sired by our , young boy, "Maverick" and is out of Matt's wonderful
little bitch "Brandy." Brandy was bred by Linda Rorem of Northlight
Shelties. Maverick was bred here at Sheltieranch. Both Maverick and Brandy
bring the virtues of both lines into play, in a very exciting way. They are
both very driven, focused workers who, while just starting their careers,
we believe will make a significant impact on the working portion of the
breed. In addition to being wonderful workers themselves, they each bring
a pedigree of dogs with unmatched accomplishments.
Enough about the parents...and onto "Sky." This little girl has an intensity
and determination that is unbelievable in an 8 week old pup. She is a
fierce tugger, a natural retriever, and a ball of energy waiting to play
at any moment. Sky is usually zooming around the house or trying to engage
us in play. We already see the tell tale signs of the intense drive that
looms within, and are thrilled to be working with her.
For now, Sky accompanies her older relatives to herding lessons, fun days
and agility trials..but watch out, in no time this little moon beam will
be ripping up the courses in a manner reflective of the great dogs before
her.
